Made these two end tables out of pallets and a block of wood. Using a wood distressing technique we were able to make the block of wood look as old as the pallets.
My girlfriend used this shelf with baskets to hold all of her many different balls of yarn.
We did some light stripping and then used chalk paint and wax on the shelf.
We then built small wooden crates that now hold all of her yarn.
Our experiences with chalk paint were not the best. I have created a blog post that will explain all the steps we took to create the chalk paint and the wooden crates. See the article here.
